Wow! It's my first day of summer vacation! But in between my excitement, I have feelings of sadness. I've been waiting for this year to hurry up, hurry up, but now I'm kinda sad. I'm going to be a freshman this fall, and there are two schools (regular high school, technical high school) that we get to go to. I'm going to the regular high school, because there's nothing I want to do at the technical school. But here's where my sadness plays in: my best friend since 1st grade is going to the technical school. We've been friends forever, and now we're not even going to the same high school. So all yesterday, as kids signed yearbooks and hugged eachother saying, "We have to hang out this summer!", I tried to hold back my tears. Because, really, I'm going to miss my classmates that are going to the tech. school. It's hard not to if you've been with the same kids since Kindergarden. But, as I indulge into my hidden stash of Sour Patch Kids (one of my favorite gummy candies), I'll try to cheer up. Have a great summer!

Sorry, sorry, sorry! I feel so bad; I was really busy, and didn't have enough time to blog at all. So, here I am, back and better than ever.

I hope all of you had a great Fourth of July, and for those of you who don't live in the USA, I just hope your July, 4, 2009 was great! So, on the 4th, I tried Greek Salami for the first time. It's not meat. It's actually a cake-like dessert that looks like salami, and is cut into patties, with a chocolate layer on the outside, cinnamon and bread on the inside. LOVED IT! My new neighbors are from Greece, hence the salami. So good. I will try to find its recipe and post it here. The fireworks were great also; my friends and I spent the whole time taping videos of the fireworks with our cell phones!

I'm also so happy, because the rain and thunder has finally stopped. Just in time for the fireworks, too! The last time I blogged here, I was so desolate and depressed, because of the whole schools thing. But now I'm happy! Yay, me! Have a great day!
